From June until September the Big Mountain Gondola allows visitors to the 7,000-foot summit of Big Mountain. On the summit visitors enjoy the Danny On Memorial Trail, a network of well-marked routes three to six miles long.

Big Sky's Scenic Gondola Ride is open in the summer when the ski season has ended. The gondola offers a grand view of the surrounding mountains. The enclosed, four-passenger cars offer round trip rides or great access for hiking or mountain biking. Beginning at the Big Sky Mountain Village 7,500 feet above sea level, the scenic lift rises 1,525 vertical feet to an elevation of 9,047 feet.
